SEE & DO

SEE & DO

The Chalet sits alone within the tree line on an 8 acre parcel of woods down a long driveway. The drive is located on the north side of Pine Street in the Island Settlement in the heart of Drummond Island.

The path from the Chalet to the water brings you to an open grassy field. There is a bonfire pit along with an open area for playing sports activities. The land slopes down to the water where there is a beach area. The shallow water is perfect for swimming, catching crayfish or kayaking.

A very popular event held at the Township offices is Baked Goods Bingo on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer. Each week's games are sponsored by a different Island organization with the proceeds going to that group. Games start at 7PM and everyone is invited to join.

Consider taking a view of Drummond from a plane.

Scuba diving enthusiasts can check out the Detour Passage Underwater Preserve - there are many ship wrecks to explore around Drummond Island. Bring your wet suit or dry suit!

The Chalet is available for your hunting adventure: Whitetail Deer, Waterfowl,  Black Bear and various Small Game.  And if you're looking for one of North America's most unique grouse hunts, Drummond is your place.

Fishing is also a big attraction. Spring brings perch and smelt runs in April. In May the Northern Pike, Walleye, and Bass seasons open. Late June through mid-July is great for Cisco (Herring). August is also peak Pike Season. Lots of fish just waiting for you and yours. Get in a boat and explore the depths. Sturgeon Bay Charter, Captain Ivan M. Gable, is who we'd recommend to experience awesome fishing.

Biking and roller blading are allowed on the side of the roads. You are within walking distance of the church, community center, post office, library, basketball court, tennis courts, school playground, museum, and Water Street Cafe.

There are also two golf courses on the island - The Rock and the Drummond Island Township Golf Course so remember to bring your clubs.

KAYAK RENTAL

We have Kayaks for rent on site! Reservations for Kayaks are necessary prior to arriving. We rent them for $50.00 each for the week.

We leave kayaks on the shore to simplify us having to move them to and from storage. We ask that you not use them unless you plan on renting them - thank you.

Our rates are significantly lower than our competitors who rent three bedroom vacation homes on Drummond Island. The reason is we do not use Drummond Island Tourist Association (DITA) or have a middle person doing our advertising and bookings. Clayton and I do the advertising and bookings ourselves along with the management of the vacation home. This allows us to keep our cost down which we can pass on to our vacation families.

However, it is getting more difficult to advertise to others who don’t know about our vacation rental home. So please spread the word and share Ledy’s Chalet with your family and friends through word of mouth and through Facebook. You are our advertising “agents” and for that, Clayton and I thank you.

Irma & Clayton Ledy

The current rate for Ledy’s Chalet is $1,400.00 per week (June-August) for a maximum of six people. If the number in your family exceeds six, there is an additional charge of $100.00 per person.

We rent from Saturday to Saturday during prime season (June-August) and have flexible rental periods during the off season with a minimum 3 night stay (April-May & September-November) or $1,250 for a week's stay.

Check in time is Saturday at 3 PM.

Check out is Saturday at 11 AM.

Pets are welcome as long as you let us know about your plans to bring a pet and they are well behaved. You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet. Pets are not allowed on the beds or on the furniture.
